 Salted Salmon in the style of "herring salting" 




Ingredients: ✏


- Salmon fillet - 400 gr.


- salt - 500 gr.


- carrots - 1 pc.


- red onion - 2 pcs.


- bay leaf - 4 pcs.


- thyme - 4 branches


- coriander seeds - 1 handful


- black pepper (peas) - 1 handful


- olive oil - to taste


Preparation: ✒


1. Wash the fillets and pat dry with a paper towel.


2. Pour half of the salt into a suitable dish, put the fish fillets and add the other half of the salt.


3. Refrigerate for 4 hours.


4. Remove the fish, rinse, wipe dry again and cut into large pieces, as is usually the case for herring.


5. Cut the onion into rings, peel the carrots and cut into thin circles.


6. Pour some olive oil into the bottom of the jar, add bay leaves, thyme, coriander seeds, pepper, some 


onions and carrots, then put the pieces of salmon.


7. And thus lay out the ingredients in layers.


8. Pour olive oil to the brim, close the jar with a lid and put in the refrigerator for a day.


9. Serve the next day.
